Within this project, surface-attached thin polymer films will be prepared, where the conformation of the macromolecules can be switched by external magnetic fields or by Redox-processes. The latter is aimed to impact the ionic/dipole characteristics or the solubility of the polymer molecules, in order to modulate catalytic activity that can either be implemented directly into the polymer molecules or being “burried” underneath the polymer film. Parts of the project will be carried out in close collaboration with project A2 and C2.
